In the USD 265 English Learner Program, students will practice language skills used for grade-level instruction in English-Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and other content areas.  The Kansas Standards for English Learners provide information and guidance to teachers on the language performance levels of the English Learner.  These standards focus on the reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills that are necessary for ELs to acquire the English language and be successful in school.  The Goddard Public Schools English Learner program reinforces these skills through sound instructional practices which are aligned to the Kansas Standards for English Learners.
